Privacy Policy
This policy outlines the basics App Store and Google Play reviewers expect to see: what Hookly collects, why it is collected, who processes it, how long it is kept, and how deletion requests work.
Last updated: May 26, 2026
1. Introduction
Hookly, LLC ("Hookly," "we," "us," or "our") provides the Hookly mobile application and related webhook-to-push-notification services. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we share it, and how you can request access, correction, or deletion.
2. Information we collect
We collect only the information needed to operate Hookly and protect the service from abuse.
- Device registration information, including a device identifier, platform, push notification token, and webhook routing identifiers.
- Device integrity and attestation information used to help verify that requests come from legitimate app instances.
- Webhook request metadata such as timestamps, source request information, delivery status, and rate-limit activity.
- Webhook payload content while processing a notification. Payload content is processed in transit and is not intended to be permanently stored.
- Subscription status and product identifiers from RevenueCat, Apple, or Google. We do not receive your payment card number.
- Support communications you send to us, including your email address and the content of your request.
- Locally stored notification history on your device. Hookly does not have access to notification history stored only on your device.
3. How we use information
- Create and maintain your webhook endpoint.
- Deliver push notifications to your registered iOS or Android device.
- Verify device authenticity, prevent abuse, and enforce rate limits.
- Manage subscriptions, trials, entitlements, and restore-purchase flows.
- Operate, debug, secure, and improve the service.
- Respond to support, privacy, billing, or deletion requests.
4. Third-party service providers
We do not sell your personal information. We share information with service providers only as needed to operate Hookly, and expect those providers to protect the information they process for us.
- Apple Push Notification service for iOS notification delivery.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging for Android notification delivery.
- RevenueCat for subscription entitlement and purchase-status management.
- Apple App Store and Google Play for app distribution, purchases, subscriptions, and store account services.
- Cloudflare for hosting, edge infrastructure, request handling, queues, storage, security, and logs.
5. Data retention and deletion
We keep device registration, webhook routing, subscription, security, and operational records while needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, prevent abuse, resolve disputes, and maintain backups. Webhook payload content is processed for delivery and discarded after processing unless it must be retained briefly in operational logs or queues for reliability, security, or debugging. You can request deletion by emailing help@gethookly.app. If the app supports account creation, the app should also provide an in-app account deletion path before App Store submission.
6. Security
We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including HTTPS/TLS transmission, platform push provider security, device attestation, access controls, and rate limiting. No internet service can guarantee perfect security.
7. Push notifications and permissions
Hookly uses push notifications to provide its core functionality. You can control notification permissions in your device settings. If you disable notifications, webhook delivery to your lock screen may stop working.
8. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, delete, or object to certain processing of your personal information. To make a request, email help@gethookly.app. You can also delete locally stored notification history by removing the app from your device.
9. Children
Hookly is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided information to Hookly, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
10. International users
Hookly is operated from the United States. If you use Hookly from another country, your information may be processed in the United States and other locations where our providers operate.
11. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
12. Contact
