Terms of Use
These terms explain the webhook-to-push-notification service, subscriptions, acceptable use, account deletion, third-party services, and support contact details.
Last updated: May 26, 2026
1. Agreement to these terms
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Hookly, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app or service.
2. The Hookly service
Hookly provides a webhook-to-push-notification service. The app gives you a webhook URL. When a permitted service sends a request to that URL, Hookly attempts to deliver a push notification to your registered device.
3. Subscriptions and billing
Hookly may offer subscriptions, trials, or paid features through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Store purchases are billed by the applicable app store and managed through your store account. You can cancel subscriptions through your Apple or Google account settings. Any free trial, renewal, cancellation, or refund rights are governed by the applicable store terms and the purchase flow shown at checkout.
4. Your responsibilities
- Keep your webhook URL private. Anyone with the URL may be able to send notifications to your device.
- Use Hookly only for lawful purposes and for notifications you are authorized to receive.
- Do not use Hookly to send spam, harassment, abusive content, illegal content, malware, or deceptive messages.
- Do not overload, disrupt, reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt unauthorized access to Hookly or its infrastructure.
- Make sure any third-party service you connect to Hookly permits your use of its webhooks and data.
5. Rate limits and availability
Hookly may enforce limits on webhook requests, payload size, delivery frequency, device registrations, or other usage. Push notification delivery depends on network conditions, device settings, Apple Push Notification service, Firebase Cloud Messaging, and other systems outside our control. We do not guarantee instant or uninterrupted delivery.
6. Accounts, deletion, and support
If Hookly supports account creation, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account access. You may request deletion by emailing help@gethookly.app. Before App Store submission, the app should also include a readily discoverable in-app account deletion flow if account creation is available.
7. Intellectual property
Hookly, the app, website, software, design, trademarks, and related materials are owned by Hookly, LLC or its licensors. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Hookly for personal or internal business purposes in accordance with these terms.
8. Third-party services
Hookly relies on third-party platforms and services, including app stores, push notification providers, subscription providers, and hosting providers. Their terms and policies may also apply to your use of those services.
9. Termination
You may stop using Hookly at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if we believe you violated these terms, created risk for the service or other users, or used the service unlawfully or abusively.
10. Disclaimers
Hookly is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, reliability, and error-free operation.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hookly, LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost business, or missed alerts. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid to Hookly in the 12 months before the claim.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of Hookly after changes become effective means you accept the updated terms.
13. Contact
